Hi there! My name is Crystal, and I am blessed to be able to share my journey with you.
I am a stay-at-home Mom and I live in New Jersey with my husband of ten years, Roy, and our two-year-old son, Micah. We also have a tabby cat named Misty and a Jack Chi named Daisy!
Reading, writing, photography, coloring (or any artistic endeavor), sharing time with my husband and son, enjoying nature, and traveling to new places are a few of the activities that bring me joy. I also like deep conversations with friends, visiting the wonderful extended families that God has given to me, being an encouragement to others, and frequenting coffee shops.
Writing helps me to process my experiences as well as to express them. I also enjoy taking photographs, and some of the photos displayed on my blog have been captured by me. For those photos which I have not taken, I’ve tried my best to attribute them to the proper entity. If I have used a photo of yours in error, please contact me and I will remove it!
But what (or Who) truly defines me is my Savior, Jesus Christ! He is my Abba Father, Lord, Helper, Sustainer, Joy, Prince of Peace, and so much more. God formed me in His image – just the way He wanted me to be – and I desire to please Him with my life and to be used by Him in the areas in which He has gifted me.
This blog is an opportunity for me to share my joys and trials and what I have learned through them. I write about my faith, my struggles with anxiety, depression, and OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), and my experiences as a new Mom. I do share very openly, so some of my posts are raw and emotional. But I hope that my story is an encouragement to you and that it points back to Jesus – Who is my Life – and Who deserves all the glory!
If you have any questions for me, anything you’d like to share, or you just need someone to talk to, please send me an email at kneestotheearthblog@gmail.com, or leave me a message using the form below.

Thank you for reading!
Blessings,
Crystal
Hi Crystal,
This is a great “About Me” section. I like how detailed it is. It really gives a clear description of you, the goals and focus of this blog, and I think it also gives a sense that you are a very sweet and kind person. I appreciate that. You are a great writer! I’m glad I found your blog. I’d really like to hear about your pets. Animals are amazing! ❤

Thank you, Jayson, I’m so glad you found me! And I appreciate your kind words. Yes, I try to be very open as far as the things that I struggle with, in the hopes that other people who are struggling with similar issues will not feel alone. And so we can help each other! Thanks again for your comments, and for reading!

It always cheers and reassures me to read of another Christian woman who is open about suffering depression/anxiety–not happy for your suffering, but I believe it’s freeing (and helps others) to speak of it openly. God bless you and your family abundantly.

Thank you, Shadeau. 🙂 I’m so glad you found me! And yes, it’s difficult to be transparent about suffering with depression and anxiety…but I agree that it is freeing, and it makes me happy when I can help other people. Thank you so much for your comment! God bless you!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for the follow. I too have suffered with several mental health issues so I understand the daily struggle. I also understand how these problems drive my closeness to Jesus. I’m glad to hear that you have a supportive family.

You’re welcome! I’m sorry that you too struggle with several mental health issues. However, It is always comforting to be reminded that I am not alone. It feels that way so often. But the good thing about the struggle is that – as you mentioned – it drives you closer to God. Thank you for your comment; it means a lot. And I look forward to getting to know you a little better through your blog! Blessings to you. 🙂

I understand well that honesty can be a scary concept, but I do so appreciate it when people overcome their fear. Thanks for yours.
