A Heartfelt Thank You

My Loving Heavenly Father,

Thank you so much for encouraging me today. Yesterday pretty much sucked; but today gave me hope!

I got an answer that I had been waiting for. It was a yes. 🙂

I got some help that I was looking for. I pray that it will propel me forward.

And all I can say is, with all of my heart:

THANK YOU.

Thank you that I now have hope that things are going to be okay.

Please renew this sense of hope each morning, along with Your endless mercy and grace.

I love you!

Your Adoring Daughter,

~Crystal

Jesus is on Our Side

I was lost
I was in chains
The world had a hold of me

My heart was a stone
I was covered in shame
When He came for me

I couldn’t run, couldn’t run from His presence
I couldn’t run, couldn’t run from His arms

Jesus, He loves me, He loves me, He is for me
Jesus, how can it be, He loves me, He is for me

And it was a fire
Deep in my soul
I’ll never be the same

I stepped out of the dark
And into the light
When He called my name

I couldn’t run, couldn’t run from His presence
I couldn’t run, couldn’t run from His arms

He holds the stars and He holds my heart
With healing hands that bear the scars
The rugged cross where He died for me
My only hope, my everything

~ “Jesus Loves Me” from the album Love Ran Red, by Chris Tomlin

I absolutely love the words to this song. Although they are simply stated and well known truths, if you really meditate on them–they are transforming!

Jesus, He loves me, He loves me, He is for me

What if we really took a moment to think about these statements?

Jesus loves me! He loves YOU! And His love for us will always be the same.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~Romans 8:38-39

Jesus, how can it be, He loves me, He is for me

Jesus is for me! He is for YOU! He has our best interests at heart, and he will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). He is on our side!

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? ~Romans 8:31

Take comfort in the fact that Jesus loves you and that Jesus is for you today! ❤

Daisy after a good long walk. :-)
Daisy after a good, long walk. 🙂

My puppy, Daisy, has gotten me started on a new routine lately: taking her outside for (almost) daily walks around our neighborhood. At first this was a chore for me. I don’t exercise much, and trying to keep up with her would make me tired. Also, I felt a little scared to be walking around without someone to walk with me. Another deterrent was that my feet would hurt when we got home! But I’m starting to see that favorable things are resulting from it.

I wouldn’t say that I look forward to our walks each day, but I am definitely becoming more accustomed to them. I enjoy the fresh air, the sights and the sounds, and the movement of my body as I walk down the street. And Daisy certainly enjoys the opportunity to get out of the house, pull me along with the leash, and sniff all of the smells that she can reach! 🙂

God allows things for a reason. Although at first I was annoyed by the prospect of walking Daisy regularly (she normally would just run around in our backyard), I’m learning to adjust to–and even appreciate–the opportunity to get outside and spend some time with my puppy, and ultimately with my Lord.

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
