There are situations going on in my life right now that are showing me that I need to stop worrying about stupid little things. Like inconveniences, small botherances, minor irritations…what do they really amount to? What I truly need to do is focus my energy and attention on the things in life that matter.
I’m so thankful to God that I can trust Him. He is my Shepherd. Without Him, I don’t know what I would do. I’m just praying that He will take these situations and work in them for His glory and for our good.
Psalm 23 (NKJV)
The Lord the Shepherd of His People
A Psalm of David.
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

Ouch! Needed this! I was really grumpy (over nothing, of course!) yesterday, especially with my husband. Read this when I got home from work and was definitely convicted. Thank you for sharing and bringing me face to face with myself.

Hi Judy! I’m glad the post was an encouragement to you. I was definitely challenged, myself. It’s so easy to “sweat the small stuff.” We just need to rely on God to focus on Him and on the many blessings He’s given to us.
Thanks so much for commenting, and have a blessed day!
