Breathe in, breathe out;
Don’t listen to the thoughts
Swirling madly in my head.
It’s going to be okay –
How do I know?
Because even though
My world feels like it’s all askew,
I trust that my God
Is holding things together
Just the way He sees fit.
When I struggle with depression,
He is there.
When I fight with my anxiety,
He is there as well.
He is there at all times
To help me in all my afflictions.
Praise Him! ❤

In this thing called life, there will be hills.
Times when things are going well –
Times when you feel like you’re on top of the world.
In this thing called life, there will also be valleys.
Times when you just can’t handle any more bad news.
Times when you feel like you’re digging your way
Out of a deep, dark, and muddy pit.
The introduction of these hills and valleys
Into our lives cannot be altered –
But what can be changed is our perspective.
How will we respond to the hills and valleys of life?
I pray that we will respond with grace…
Both the giving of grace and the receiving of it.
I pray that we will respond with gratitude,
Focusing on the many blessings in our lives.
I pray that we will respond with peace…
A peace that can only be found in the Prince of Peace.
So as we continue on our journeys,
Let us respond with grace, gratitude, and peace
To the hills and the valleys of life.

Wait with patience, my Savior bids me –
He will not long delay.
The answer to my heartfelt cries
Will comes in His time and way.
Wait with peace, the Lord reminds me –
He yearns for me to be
Resting in His loving presence,
Without fear or anxiety.
Wait with hope, God seeks to teach me –
I can trust His heart of love.
He always does what’s best for me,
By sending blessings from above.
Wait with faith, for He is faithful –
Thus far hath He carried me.
And He will keep His promises
Throughout time and eternity.
