The Glass is Half Full

Does anyone have any practical ideas or advice regarding how to be a more positive person? I tend to see things from a negative perspective, and I really want to focus on being more optimistic this year. Any and all thoughts are appreciated! 🙂

  1. ‘Finding the funny’ in something – even if it’s seemingly minscule – is really good 🙂
Don’t stop laughing because it may seem silly. That’s the fun! 🙂

Random, I know, but it was the first thing that popped into my head. You see, I had a nice day today; had plenty of laughs!

    1. That’s an awesome insight, Z! Thank you! 🙂 I think for me, it could apply most specifically to laughing at myself when I mess up, instead of beating myself up…which is obviously not good.

But you’re completely right, finding the funny in things totally makes difficult situations more bearable. Thanks again for the comment, and I’m SO glad that you had a nice day! 🙂

      1. Yes! Yes! For example, I laughed plenty when I fell off of my chair because I was trying to (I know it was naughty but hehehe) quickly finish my sweet in class, and was using my friend to block the teacher’s view….that is, until she got up! And I fell off XD yelping a little 🙂
        Thank you 😀

      2. LOL, I’m loving picturing that scenario! I’m glad that you could laugh at it. 🙂 And it makes for a good story to tell! I think that I will be taking baby steps towards laughing at myself this year, as I will in so many areas. But hey, baby steps are better than no steps! 🙂
