Do you find it hard to sleep tonight
Resting by the Christmas lights
Could there be something you forgot
Beyond the bows and mistletoe
The tree with presents wrapped below
There’s more to this that you had ever thought

Have we lost the reason that we celebrate each year
What is Christmas
If there never was a Savior wrapped in a manger
What is Christmas without Christ

Remember how the story goes
God’s gift was wrapped in swaddling clothes
Beneath a star one great and holy night
The shepherds heard the angels sing
The wise men brought an offering
Peace on Earth began in Bethlehem
Have we lost the reason that we celebrate each year

So Much to be Thankful For

I have a lot to be thankful for right now. Things that I have been worried about are being worked out. Are they perfect or exactly where I would want them to be? No–but what is important is that God is hearing my prayers and working in my life and the lives of those I love.

I just want to thank my readers for listening to my rants; I know that I can get very “down” sometimes, and it can probably be discouraging. But thank God that He doesn’t leave me where I am! He continues to guide me along my “Journey of Faith”…and I am so grateful for His care, and for the support of the people in my life–including those who read and support me through my blog.

Writing has truly been an outlet! Awesome–another thing to thank God for! 🙂 He is so good. In the good times, and in the bad times. I pray that I will remember His goodness each day, and that it will give me the strength to keep going when things get tough.

God’s blessings to all of you! And I hope that you are enjoying this season of remembrance, and this time to praise God for the gift of His Son.

Thank you again for taking this journey with me! ❤

What I DO Know

Thoughts, racing.

Worries, spiraling freely.

Can’t seem to get myself under control.

I don’t know what’s going to happen.

Don’t know how things will turn out.

It’s hurting my heart,

And I don’t know how to make it stop.

I wish I could see the future–

To see if everything is going to be okay.

But I don’t have that luxury.

I don’t know what is going to happen;

I don’t know how things will turn out.

Is there anything that I DO know?!

I do know that God is with me.

I do know that He will be my guide.

He will lead me through this,

Through the twists and the turns…

He will be there.

I do know that I have a support system.

People who love me and who are praying.

I do know that I am not in this alone.

Father, be my Peace.

Be my Guide.

Be my Everything.

I can’t do this on my own.

YOU are the most important factor in this situation;

And I throw myself upon Your grace, upon Your mercy, and upon Your love.

I need You–and I am not ashamed.
